Emergency action on new born baby

A mother gave birth to a baby girl, and we recently acted for her when a Local Authority took care proceedings later the same day. There were concerns that her partner posed a potential threat to her and the baby. The outcome of the hearing was that mother and baby remained together pending further hearings, and orders were made restricting contact by the baby's father. It is hoped that if mother and baby do well and the perceived threat posed by father can be controlled that the young mother may be able to keep her baby.
